Over the last few weeks South Wales Police have been running operation Sceptre which is to tackle issues concerning knife crime in all areas.

This has been actioned by Cardiff City centre Neighbourhood Policing team by a number of sweeps in all parks and premises in an attempt to locate hidden and discarded knifes.

Also, we have conducted test purchases in all stores within the city centre that sell kitchen knives, box cutters, and Standly knives. 

As a result of all actions mentioned above, there were no issues, and the operation was a success.

Dros ychydig wythnosau diwethaf mae Heddlu De Cymru wedi bod yn cynnal gweithred Sceptre sydd yn ymwneud â mynd i'r afael â materion troseddau cyllyll ym mhob ardal. Mae hyn wedi cael ei weithredu gan dîm Heddlu Cymdogaeth Canol Dinas Caerdydd trwy nifer o sweeps ym mhob parc a phriodasau mewn ymgais i ddod o hyd i gyllwch cudd a gwastraffedig. Hefyd, rydym wedi cynnal pryniannau prawf ym mhob siop o fewn canol y ddinas sy'n gwerthu cyllyll cegin, torwyr blwch, a chyllyll Standly.
